JSLN is an international neo-classical ballet company with the mission to bring the joy of dance to as wide an audience as they can.
They have established themselves on stages in Germany and around Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China) since 2012. The first season saw the company start out project based in Berlin, followed by the 2013-2014 season as a full time company based in Singapore, then back to project based work in 2014-2015 in Beijing and from 2015 in Germany and the UK.
The company was founded by Soren Niewelt, Artistic Director and Jessica Larbig, Principal Dancer, in 2012 in order to bring dance, particularly ballet to a wider audience. In 2015, Loretta Wong joined the company as their full time company manager.
JSLN's belief is that high quality dance belongs to everyone, not just in the great opera houses of the world. Ballet is an evolving art form but the purity of classical training remains constant and is the source of its beauty, from the court of the Sun King to festival stages of the 21st Century.
